Hindi
It is the official language of Republic of India, third most widely spoken language, mother tongue of around 300 million people in India, many more speakers outside India and users of Hindi as second language. It is one of the official languages in India along with English and others. It is a very expressive language and is said to have been greatly influenced by Turkish, Arabic, Farsi, Portuguese, English and Dravidian. Hindi evolved in 7th century as Apabhramsha and stabilized by the 10th century. Various dialects of Hindi can be found in literature however starting with Braj, in 19th century Khari boli emerged as the standard.
Hindi, an Indo – European/Indo -Aryan language and part of the Indic family; is written in Devanagari with its vocabulary mainly derived from literary and religious language Sanskrit which is where it differs from Urdu – official language of Pakistan. It has narrow similarity with many European languages like Greek and Latin but broadly differs in pronunciation. Due to its rich expressive for emotions, many poetry and songs are present and is often call language of songs.
