Korean
Considered to be one of the most oldest living and difficult language among Asian languages, it is spoken 49 million people in South Korea and 23 million people in North Korea and additional 5 million in Japan, china, Russia and North America. It is the official language of North and South Korea.
The two dialects of North Korea called Joson and South Korea called Hanguk are quite similar but recently they have started getting different in spellings. Korean languages have many words from Chinese origin but many Chinese characters have been removed by North Korea from their writings as opposed to South Korea. Korean language spoken in North and South Korea also differs in pronunciation, spelling and grammar. Like Japanese, it is related to Altaic language group possessing vowel harmony and its script is based on Hangeul which was invented in Korea in mid-1400s. Sometimes it is described conservatively as language isolate: that is a natural language with no genetic relation with any living language. Scholars have divided Korean language into four stages, Old Korean, Middle Korean, Modern and Contemporary Korean referring to historical eras and linguistic features.
Many big-budget action movies are produced in Korean language.
